(Summary description)Caofeidian Port Ore Terminal was invested and constructed by Tangshan Caofeidian Industrial Port Co., Ltd. The ore terminal is located in the Caofeidian port area, close to the deep trough of the Bohai Bay. The port site is 38 nautical miles from Tianjin Xingang in the west, 92 nautical miles from Qinhuangdao Port in the northeast, and 33 nautical miles from Jingtang Port. After the completion, the front of the wharf can reach -25 meters without dredging. It can dock a 250,000-ton ocean-going giant ship. It is a natural deep-water port with a coastline of more than 1,000 kilometers around the Bohai Sea.
The general terminal project started by Tangshan Caofeidian Port Co., Ltd. was put into trial operation in September 2009, and the transportation volume was 20.82 million tons that year. In 2010, the cargo throughput was 22.15 million tons in one fell swoop. In 2011, the throughput was 35.88 million tons, an increase of 62% year-on-year, of which the ore shipment volume was 20 million tons and the steel shipment volume was 10 million tons; the annual revenue was 1.147 billion yuan, an increase of 120.15%; 68%, has won wide acclaim from the social industry and superior departments for its outstanding development performance.
