(Summary description)The project was invested and constructed by Caofeidian Comprehensive Free Trade Zone Port Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 770 million yuan. The project is to construct two 40,000-ton multi-purpose berths with a length of 460m, a land depth of 685m, and a total port area of 360,300 square meters. After the completion of the project, the annual throughput will reach 2.4 million tons (including 70,000 TEU of containers) and 500 new jobs will be added. At present, the project has started construction in July 2012 and is expected to be completed and put into operation in June 2014.
